Narco-submarine

Colombia’s Navy has spotted and stopped a semi-submarine vessel filled with cocaine in an operation in which hundreds of arrests have been made.

This is just one of six semi-submersibles (i.e. boats that do not fully submerge and move almost unseen) that were spotted during the operation.

Spanish law enforcement has seized a submarine that was loaded with more than 2 tonnes of cocaine, according to the El Pais.

Law enforcement officers have detained at least two people. The submarine was discovered in the waters of Galicia. It is believed that the submarine has arrived from Colombia. There are no other details so far.

Authorities in Panama seized about 3 tonnes of cocaine, BNT reported. For the past few days, law enforcement officials have  detained a second large shipment of drugs.
