Bulgaria: Inflation Decline and GDP Growth
Annual inflation in Bulgaria for April 2023 compared to April 2022 is 11.6%, reports the NSI.
The quarterly total income on average per household person in the first quarter of 2023 was BGN 2,394 and increased by 19.3% compared to the same quarter of 2022.

Serbia’s Q1 real GDP up by 0.7 pct
BELGRADE - Serbia's real GDP was up by 0.7 pct y-o-y in Q1 2023, the Serbian national statistical office RZS said in a flash estimate released on Wednesday.
The RZS also said a more detailed GDP calculation for Q1 2023, performed at lower aggregation levels, would be published on May 31.

Current accounts deficit drops to €1.5 billion
The Greek current account deficit fell by 3 billion euros in the January-February period this year compared with the corresponding period in 2022, to stand at €1.5 billion, the Bank of Greece said on Thursday.

Türkiye’s current account deficit at $8.8 billion
Türkiye's current account deficit came in at $8.78 billion in February, falling from a deficit of $10 billion in the previous month, data from the Central Bank have shown.
In February 2022, the balance of payments showed a current account gap of $5.3 billion.

Bulgaria has the Lowest GDP per capita in the EU
In 2022, gross domestic product (GDP) per capita, expressed in purchasing power standards (PPS), varied between 59 percent from the European Union average in Bulgaria and 261 percent in Luxembourg. This is shown by the latest data of the European statistical agency Eurostat, published yesterday on its official page and quoted by BTA.

In 2022: The Bulgarian Economy Grew Less than Expected according to Preliminary Data
The economy of Bulgaria has grown by 3.4% in 2022. This is shown by the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute (NSI). The expectations of the European Commission and the IMF were for a growth of 3.9%, but the statistics are subject to correction over time.
