After more than three and a half hours of debate and 98 votes "against", the Bulgarian parliament rejected the draft decision of "Vazrazhdane" to hold a referendum that would postpone Bulgaria's entry into the Eurozone for twenty years.

Society's expectations are that the life of the "Denkov" cabinet will be short. Only 15% believe that the cabinet will last for the planned period of one and a half years, said the sociologist Dobromir Zhivkov, who presented the conclusions of a national survey by "Market Links" on the political attitudes in the society, made on the order of bTV.

With 157 votes "in favor" and 57 against, the parliament adopted a Declaration in support of Ukraine's membership in NATO. "Vazrazhdane" and BSP again declared themselves "against" this decision.

Kostadin Kostadinov's concerns:

Deputies from three parliamentary groups - GERB, WCC-DB and DPS - submitted a proposal to the National Assembly to attempt to sell equipment for the "Belene" Nuclear Power Plant to Ukraine through negotiations. This was announced by the initiators Delyan Dobrev and Ivaylo Mirchev.

The proposal was submitted to the registry of the National Assembly.

After three hours of debate and with 186 votes "for" and 32 "against", the parliament created a temporary commission to decide whether to remove the immunity of the people's representatives Boyko Borissov and Daniel Alexandrov from GERB-SDS, Kiril Petkov from "We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria" (WCC-DB) and Dimitar Avramov from the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS).

An hour before the vote for a new cabinet, hundreds of "Vazrazhdane" supporters gathered in the square in front of the National Assembly building.

Minutes before the vote for the cabinet, the entire parliamentary group of "There Is Such a People" (TISP) led by Toshko Yordanov, as well as Maya Manolova from "Levitsata" gathered on the square.

Will there be a regular government? GERB-SDS have 69 deputies, and "We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria" - 63, or 132 in total. Thus, the two largest coalitions secure a majority according to their previously declared intentions.

The head of state Rumen Radev has issued a decree for the voting of the proposed WCC-DB cabinet, and the speaker of the National Assembly has scheduled an extraordinary meeting for tomorrow.

Anže Logar, the former foreign minister, who has ranked as the most popular politician since he unsuccessfully challenged Nataša Pirc Musar in the 2022 presidential election, has started a new platform to discuss Slovenia's key challenges. Some speculate the forum might develop into a new party.

"We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria" begin active work for the implementation of a cabinet with the second term, as well as talks with all political forces in the parliament to change the Constitution and the management model of the prosecutor's office.
