The decision was about broader strategy, the company said

US President Donald Trump on Monday announced a new National Security Strategy that administration officials have said will emphasize the president's "America first" message.

The government approved the project for updating the National Security Strategy of Bulgaria and proposed to the National Assembly to accept it. The strategy has not yet been published, reports mediapool. 

With the leadership of Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, the Security Council of the Council of Ministers examines a draft of an updated National Security Strategy. After discussing it, it will be submitted for approval by the Council of Ministers and adopted by the National Assembly, the government press service reports.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the last day of 2015, approving a document that updates and replaces Russia's existing National Security Strategy (NSS) paper, which had been in force since 2009. The updated strategy paper essentially summarizes Russia's national interests and defines its strategic priorities for the years ahead.
