3 Police Officers Injured in Roma Clashes in Bulgaria's Stara Zagora

Three police officers have been injured in the clashes that broke out Monday in the Roma district in Bulgaria's city of Stara Zagora.

The conflict between the Gendarmerie and the locals arose due to the forceful demolition of 55 illegally built houses in the city's Lozenets district.

Maziotis' hideout located in Maroussi, according to reports

Counter-terrorism officers have located the hideout of Revolutionary Struggle leader Nikos Maziotis near the electric railway (ISAP) station in Maroussi, north of Athens, sources said on Friday.

Neighbors shown a recent photograph of the 42-year-old guerrilla told police he was a resident of an apartment block at 27, Ypsilantou Street, according to reports.

Operation Theseus results in 84 arrests in central Athens

A police operation dubbed “Theseus” and aimed at cracking down on street crime in central Athens on Thursday led to 84 arrests.

More than half (40) of those arrested failed to present valid identity cards or visas, while 24 women were taken in for prostitution.

Police also seized some 3,500 contraband items.

Transgender sex worker sues Interior Ministry after police fine her for ‘causing disturbance’

A transgender sex worker has sued the Interior Ministry, after being fined by police officers on the grounds that she “caused disturbance."

The plaintiff, identified as T.T., was fined twice on April 24 and 25 after locals from the neighborhood in Ankara where she resides filed a complaint by phone to the police.
