NSI: 42.6% of the Managers of Accommodation Establishments Expect to Suspend their Activity Temporarily
In April 2020, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) has started a monthly inquiry survey of the managers of accommodation establishments to gather accurate and timely information on the state and development of their businesses during the state of emergency in the country.
The NSI will Conduct a Test Census in the Spring
A population and housing census test will be conducted by the NSI in the spring. This is recorded in the National Statistical Program for 2020, adopted today by the Council of Ministers.
The survey precedes the actual census, which will be conducted across the European Union in 2021.

Increase of Residential Buildings Completed in Bulgaria
New residential buildings completed in Bulgaria in the second quarter of 2019 increased by 10.5% on the year to 632, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Thursday, reports SeeNews.
The total useful space of newly built dwellings decreased 2.5% year-on-year to 201,700 sq m in the period between April and June, NSI said in a statement.
Hoteliers Expect more Tourists in August and September
Whether the summer tourist season is successful or weaker than in the recent years remains to be seen, but the data for the first days of the most active summer month of August show that 88% of all seaside hotels were occupied on August 3rd, and 68% of the full month is already booked, according to preliminary data from the Institute for Analysis and Evaluation in Tourism.
