Companies in the European Union and the Balkan countries have been turning to suppliers in Türkiye over the past weeks as troubles in the Red Sea increase freight costs and disrupt deliveries, business daily Dünya has reported.

A Turkish family in Germany's Hamburg has received a hate letter which the sender claims is contaminated with the coronavirus.
The letter was addressed to Önder Koca, a 28-year-old German-born man with Turkish origins.

Man detained after footage emerges of him kicking dog in western Turkey
Police have detained a man in the western province of İzmir after video footage emerged of him kicking a dog sitting on the pavement.
The footage, gathered from surveillance camera footage on a street in the Aliağa district of İzmir, prompted outrage after it emerged online on Sept. 17.

Ankara Bombing death toll rises to 102: Chief Public Prosecutor's Office
The death toll in the twin suicide bombing in Ankara on Oct. 10 increased to 102, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor?s Office announced on Oct. 16, adding that 13 people allegedly linked to the attack were in custody.
All but one of the victims have been identified, and the suspects are being interrogated, according to a written statementby the prosecutors.
