SNS to hold extraordinary assembly session on May 27
BELGRADE - Serbia's ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) will hold an extraordinary Assembly session in Belgrade on May 27, the SNS announced on Wednesday.
The decision to call an extraordinary session of the party Assembly was made by SNS leader Aleksandar Vucic earlier in the day.

In order for the citizens to go to the polls that day, the law stipulates that the election campaign lasts from 45 to 60 days.
As "Politika" writes in a Wednesday issue, elections will be announced on March 8th.

"Political orgies in front of Vesic's house"
They point out that it is a continuation of the violence policy, which is the exact image of the Alliance for Serbia (SzS).
SNS Member of the Presidency and Councilor in the Belgrade City Assembly Vladimir Orlic said that it was a "political orgy" organized in front of Vesic's house by "Ljotic's followers by profession, hooligans by nature and thieves by habit".

Vucic's rating grows after big rally in Belgrade - pollster
Uljarevic told Prva TV that the rating of Serbia's president and SNS leader has increased by six percent, adding that the protests of the opposition have led to the decline of the rating of the Alliance for Serbia (SzS).
SNS has 55 percent support, opposition alliance 11.8 - poll

Vucic: There will be no early parliamentary elections
BELGRADE - Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Aleksandar Vucic announced late Wednesday the party's Presidency had decided against calling early parliamentary elections.
After an SNS Presidency meeting, Vucic said he was grateful to the party's top body for backing his position almost unanimously - with just two votes against.
Poll: Ruling SNS strong in Belgrade; 38% back EU membership
The poll, presented on December 6, also showed that the ruling coalition led by President Aleksandar Vucic's SNS party - without the Socialists (SPS) - would win 39 percent of the vote.
If the SPS participated alone, it could count on 5.9 percent, according to the survey.
