Nicolae Ciuca takes over mandate of interim PM
Minister of National Defence Nicolae Ciuca took over, on Tuesday morning, the mandate of interim Prime Minister, following his appointment by President Klaus Iohannis, according to the Government. Nicolae Ciuca was appointed interim prime minister on Monday evening, after Ludovic Orban announced his resignation from the position of Chief of the Executive.

New medical air transport brought to Romania
A third air transport carrying medical equipment from South Korea has landed, on Wednesday morning, on the Otopeni Airport with a C-17 Globemaster III airplane. According to the Defence Ministry, the aircraft transported approximately 45 tons of medical protection equipment. The airplane was greeted by Defence Minister Nicolae Ciuca and US Ambassador in Bucharest Adrian Zuckerman.

Romanian anti-Communist Dissident Paul Goma Dies of Covid-19
Romanian writer and anti-Communist dissident Paul Goma has died in Paris aged 84 after being diagnosed with coronavirus, his biographer Mariana Sipos told the Romanian news portal G4Media on Wednesday.
"After receiving a message from France, I announce with sorrow and great pain the departure from among us of the great writer and dissident Paul Goma," the statement read.
Israel's ambassador David Saranga visits AGERPRES
Israel's ambassador in Bucharest David Saranga visited on Thursday the AGERPRES National News Agency, emphasizing during the meeting with agency managing director Claudia Nicolae the excellent cooperation with AGERPRES and the desire to see it continue.
