The plan to restart the professional football leagues in Turkey on June 12 will be implemented, Turkish Football Federation (TFF) chief Nihat Özdemir has insisted.

Professional football leagues in Turkey, which were suspended on March 19 due to the coronavirus pandemic, are scheduled to resume on June 12 behind closed doors, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) chief announced on May 6.

Limak Holding Chair Nihat Özdemir has complained about the lack of mid-level staff at a time when unemployment rate in Turkey is running high.

The Turkish Limak Holding and its Kuwaiti partner, Al-Kharafi International, laid the foundation stone for a $4.3 billion airport terminal project - the largest tender won abroad in a single package by Turkish contractors - with a ceremony in the Gulf country on May 9.

More than 4,000 people will be employed to work in the construction of the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, a leading member of the consortium building the bridge has said.

The bridge is expected to be the longest suspension bridge in the world by its length of main span with 2,023 meters.

Three Turkish companies that have cooperated on several large projects in the last decade have peacefully parted ways in the power distribution business, Limak Holding Chairman Nihat Özdemir told daily Hürriyet on the sidelines of Oct. 29 Republic Day celebrations at the Presidential Palace in Ankara.

A business delegation led by the head of Turkey's top business organization, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), has met their counterparts and Russian officials in Moscow to discuss a variety of issues ahead of a mixed economic council meeting between the two countries. 

Limak Holding Chairman Nihat Özdemir has said a loan package worth 4.5 billion euros will be signed with six banks to finance the first stage consortium works of Istanbul?s new airport on Oct. 19. 

Some 70 percent of the package will be held by state-run banks, he noted at a meeting organized by the monthly magazine Capital on Oct. 7. 

Russia's largest lender, Sberbank, has granted ?GA Havaliman? ??letmesi (IGA), the builder and future operator of a third airport in Istanbul, 500 million euros in credit for the project, according to announcements by both parties.
