EU to Invest EUR 1 B in Balkan Development in Infrastructure
The EU will allocate close to EUR 1 B for projects on infrastructure improvement in countries of the Western Balkans.
The statement was made by the EU Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn who is currently visiting Kosovo's capital Pristina.
FYROM reference triggered Greek walkout
Greek officials walked out of a meeting of foreign ministers from NATO member states in December after protesting a document referring to the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) by its constitutional name, which is the subject of a dispute with Athens.

FYROM's newspaper Dnevnik reports that FYROM's Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki met with Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias in Riga in the sidelines of the two-day EU Foreign Ministers meeting on the Ukraine.

He made the comments during a meeting with OSCE's chairperson in office and Serbia's foreign minister, Ivica Dacic, in Skopje.

SKOPJE - Macedonia fully supports Serbia's Chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov said Wednesday in a meeting with Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic in Skopje.

Macedonia's Foreign Minister Visiting Albania to Boost Cooperation
Macedonia's Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki is visiting Albania on Monday as part of intensified contacts between the two Balkan neighbours.
Poposki is scheduled to meet his Albanian counterpart Ditmir Bushati and Prime Minister Edi Rama as well as the head of the foreign affairs committee in Parliament, Arta Dade, the Foreign Ministry in Skopje said in a press release.
FYROM FM says Athens, Skopje ‘nowhere near a solution’

Parliament Gives Macedonia's New Govt the Nod
Macedonia's parliament was expected to endorse the PM's new cabinet since the ruling parties led by Nikola Gruevski's VMRO DPMNE won a solid majority in the assembly at the April general elections.
The vote was 77 in favour and 6 against. No one abstained.
The session passed without almost any opposition MPs present in the chamber.

Serbia-Macedonia relations are excellent
BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic met with Macedonia's Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki on Friday and said that the relations between the two countries were excellent and there was nothing that could disturb them.
