The Minister of Health Prof. Nikolay Petrov resigned. The resignation was accepted by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, the government's press service announced, quoted by BGNES.

This is the first minister in the third government of Prime Minister Borisov, who withdrew from his post.

The Ministry of Health has set a target for up to half a year for every Bulgarian to have access to his/her electronic health record.

This was announced to BNT by Minister Nikolay Petrov.

Another BGN 300 thousand  will be provided by the Ministry of Health to the hospitals in Lovech and Vratsa, Minister of Health Nikolay Petrov told journalists, reported bTV.

Emergency assistance has already been paid in the two medical establishments, Minister Petrov assured.

The Health Ministry has alerted the Directorate-General for Combating Organized Crime and the Prosecutor's Office about the existence of counterfeits websites of the institution, DARIK informed.
 
In one of the fake sites, a fictitious interview with Prof. Nikolay Petrov, the Minister of the Interior, was made for the sale of goods, the ministry press office said.

Bulgaria's Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova met with Minister of Health Professor Nikolay Petrov on Tuesday, reported BNR.

Ministers Angelkova and Petrov discussed possibilities for development of medicinal tourism in Bulgaria. According to Nikolina Angelkova the existence of healing mineral springs is a prerequisite for the development of that sector.

Health inspectors will carry out planned and random checks on the quality of food and water in the resorts at the Bulgarian seaside.

''The purpose is to ensure the safety of food and the safety of drinking water and bathing water in swimming pools and the sea'', the Health Minister prof. Nikolai Petrov said in Varna, according to BNT.

Dr. Miroslav Nenkov accepted the preposition to become the next Deputy Minister of Health. He claimed that on BNT this morning, reported BGNES.
