The Minister of TourismNikolina Angelkova announced that Bulgaria expects a 2-3 percent decrease for the forthcoming summer season. The forecast is based on the early bookings for the season.

"For the government, tourism is one of the main priorities of the management program: the executive is consistent in achieving its goal in this sector - the affirmation of Bulgaria as a year-round tourist destination," said Deputy Prime Minister Mariana Nikolova at the annual meeting with branch organizations, of local and state power, quoted by the press service of the Council of Ministers.

Despite the decline in early booking of tourists from Germany and Russia for holiday on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, there are  are still countries which prefer to spend their holiday in Bulgaria. This was announced by Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova in Varna.

In 2018 the revenues from tourism are BGN 8.4 billion, which is 6% more than in the previous year. For the last three years - since 2015, 34% has been the growth of the revenues from international tourism in the country, Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova announced.

,,So far, there is a decrease of 10%  in the early registration of tourists from Russia and Germany for the Southern Black Sea coast.'' This was said by Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova in Burgas.

,,Two of the main markets that determine Bulgaria in the summer season are Russia and Germany, said Minister Nikolina Angelkova.

The data from December 2018 to February 2019 show that we have managed to keep tourism levels of the record last year, Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova said in response to a question by GERB MP Alexander Matsurev on the results of the 2018/2019 winter season and forecast for the summer season, Focus News Agency reports.

A co-operation agreement on tourism in the Altai region is going to be signed. At the end of May a large investment forum will be held in Sunny Beach, on which the main theme will be the development of congress tourism. During the event state officials will be looking for an investor to build a congress center in the resort complex. This was told by Bulgarian Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova.

Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelova opened Bulgaria's national booth at the International Tourism Fair ITB-Berlin 2019.

Our presence at the biggest tourist fair in the world is of great importance for the presentation of Bulgaria as a year-round destination, the Minister said.
