Sources from the caretaker government on Friday dismissed high-profile criticism by the former foreign minister, who claimed that the previous Tsipras government had instructed the country’s diplomatic mission at the UN to vote in favor of an Argentine resolution on unmanageable sovereign debts.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavu?o?lu has spoken with his Greek counterpart, Nikos Kotzias, upon the latter's request, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said late June 29.

Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias is due to meet in Athens at noon on Monday with the UN Secretary General?s Special Adviser on Cyprus Espen Barth Eide.

The meeting comes three days after Kotzias met his Cypriot counterpart Ioannis Kasoulides, also in Athens.

Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias will be in Brussels on Monday, May 18, to attend a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council (FAC).

Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias is meeting on Friday with the U.S. State Department’s Special Envoy and Coordinator for International Energy Affairs, Amos J. Hochstein. The meeting will take place at the Foreign ministry at 10.30 a.m.

The US is seeking to block a proposal Gazprom made in Athens on a Greek leg of the so-called "Turkish Stream" pipeline, the Greek Foreign Minister has said.

Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias is due to begin a five-day visit to the US on Monday, April 20.
