16-year-old kills classmate, attempts suicide in classroom in Turkey's northwest

A 16-year-old student in the northwestern province of Bursa shot and killed a classmate on the morning of May 5 before attempting suicide.

The student, H.C., killed classmate Nilüfer Acar in their classroom, Doğan News Agency reported.  

The killer was hospitalized after the failed suicide attempt.  

Anti-ISIL operations in Turkey continue, police detain over 20 suspects

Police working to confirm Bursa suicide bomber's identity

Police believe the suicide bomber who killed herself and wounded 13 others in Turkey's northwestern province of Bursa on April 28 was a woman identified as Suzan B., according to reports citing intelligence sources. 

According to the claims, police have taken DNA samples from the suspect's family members in the southeastern province of Mardin and are working to confirm her identity.
