Greece to Probe Mykonos Building Violations After Archaeologist Attacked

The probe was triggered by an attack on archaeologist Manolis Psarros, who is in charge of urban planning and archeology on Mykonos, on March 7.
Ferryboat crashes onto island dock; no one injured
A passenger ferry on Thursday morning crashed into the dock at the port of Chios in the eastern Aegean.
The Nissos Mykonos ferry, operated by Hellenic Seaways, was reportedly struggling against strong winds and choppy seas as it came into port shortly before 10 a.m. on Thursday morning, bumping violently against the concrete dock.

Thousands of migrants and refugees reach Lesvos
Refugees flock to the Greek island of Lesvos with authorities saying that more than 6,000 people have been registered and identified during the last three days, while Greek Coast Guard and Frontex continue to rescue people who are trying to reach Greece.

Ferries increase for Easter travel
Extra ferry journeys for passengers over the Orthodox Easter break were added on Holy Saturday. Coast Guards were stationed at all departure points at Piraeus port to help those wanting to travel after the bad weather prevented ferry travel over the last two days.

Nissos Mykonos to run an additional service until Mytilene ferry repaired
Hellenic Seaways Company announced on Thursday that the Nissos Mykonos ferry will run an additional service that will include stops at the islands of Samos and Fournoi, until the damage in the engines of the Mytilene ferry is repaired at the end of February.
