The World Bank has said its board of directors approved a financing of 120 million euros to the health system strengthening and support project of Turkey in a written statement on Sept. 21. 

Diseases linked to lifestyle choices, including diabetes and some cancers, kill 16 million people prematurely each year, the World Health Organization said Jan. 19, urging action to stop the "slow-moving public health disaster".
      

Nearly one third of all deaths worldwide are caused by cardiovascular diseases, announced by the Bulgarian Society of Cardiology.

In Europe, over 4 million people die of cardiovascular diseases every year. The most common among these are the coronary artery disease and the stroke, Bulgarian National Radio notes.
