At the Nona Source showroom in northern Paris, designers pick through luxurious textiles with ornate names: curly alpaca, geometrical macrame guipure, silk diamond cloque Jacquard.

What makes them really exotic, however, is that they all come from "deadstocks," the leftovers designers discard when they have finished with a roll of fabric.

Georgian former chess world champion Nona Gaprindashvili has resolved her legal dispute with Netflix after suing the streaming giant for defamation over its hit show "The Queen's Gambit," her attorney said on Sept. 7.

"I am pleased that the matter has been resolved," Alexander Rufus-Isaacs told AFP.

According to ISU Dobrogea spokesperson Anamaria Stocia, the victims were aged between 30 and 50.
