Protesters gather in North Mitrovica following arrest of another Serb

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - A large number of Serb protesters gathered in the north of Kosovska Mitrovica after Pristina's police arrested another Serb.

The protesters gathered at a crossing between the northern and the southern part of the town and Pristina's police forces are deployed on the southern side.

After the Kosovo police arrested another Serb, a large number of Serbs gathered at the crossing between the northern and southern parts of Kosovo's Mitrovica, while the Kosovo police were on the southern side.
A cannon shot was also heard from the south side of the city.
The situation is currently calm, but tense, and the sirens in North Mitrovica are still sounding.

The protest has entered the 15th day, the Serbs are not giving up their demands

They gathered in peaceful protest to express their dissatisfaction with the violent actions of Pristina in the north, the arrival of Kosovo special forces and the imposition of illegal Albanian mayors elected in elections in which the turnout was only about 3.5 percent and which the Serbs boycotted.

Night passes calmly in Zvecan, Serbs continue protest

ZVECAN - The night passed calmly in Zvecan, a Serb-majority municipality in the north of Kosovo-Metohija and, in the morning, local Serbs continued a peaceful protest that began at the end of May.

The protesters, who have been gathering in front of a cordon of Kfor troops every day, said they would not end the protest until their demands were met.
