Macedonian President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova has urged for understanding and a "fair unblocking of the process" regarding North Macedonia's negotiations with the EU. Speaking from the UN podium, she expressed concerns following the EU's decision to commence negotiations with Albania while sidelining North Macedonia.

Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, will make her first official visit to Bulgaria this Friday since assuming office in May, according to Macedonian media reports. During her visit, Siljanovska will attend a performance by the Macedonian Opera and Ballet in Sofia, featuring Giuseppe Verdi's "Nabucco."

VRANJE - North Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski said during a visit to Serbia's monastery of St Prohor Pcinjski on Wednesday he hoped the good tradition of celebrations of Ilinden - North Macedonia's greatest national holiday - would be continued at the monastery, the "place where the Macedonian republic was formed."

The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, described as "scandalous" the request of Bulgaria to participate in the process of preparing the constitutional changes in the southwestern Balkan country.

"I advised Prime Minister Kovachevski not to go to the summit in Brussels just to take pictures and to endure the humiliation of Bulgaria," President Stevo Pendarovski said in an interview with TV24.

North Macedonia's president has declared an eight-day state of emergency ahead of an early national election after the country's main political leaders agreed the vote will be held on July 15.

Leaders of major political parties in North Macedonia, including those in the ruling coalition, agreed to hold a snap parliamentary election on April 12 after the European Union failed to give the country a date to start talks on joining the bloc. 

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov will visit the Republic of Northern Macedonia.

In Skopje, Borissov and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, will mark the second anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship, Neighborhood and Cooperation between the two countries.
