This means that member-states will have to give up a larger part of their sovereignty to reinforce the whole. However, the global and regional earthquakes that demand ever closer union also strengthen forces which preach a return to a nonexistent idealized past of national greatness.

ICR London will organize, starting with Tuesday, a series of events on the occasion of the launch, in English, of the volume "Nostalgia" by Mircea Cartarescu, translated by Julian Semilian and published by the prestigious Penguin Classics.
Ottoman dramas increase interest in antique objects
Demand for swords and knives in the antiques sector has increased thanks to the popular Ottoman TV series, according to antique collector Ercan Eroğlu.
"Real antiques have come to light. The market is very active now," he added.
