Foreign donations fund outpatient clinic, recycling centre

NOVI PAZAR - The ambassadors of the United Nations and Japan to Serbia, Irena Vojackova-Solorano and Masafumi Kuroki, have opened an outpatient clinic in Blazevo, near Novi Pazar, and visited the construction site of a recycling centre.

The two facilities are a result of the UN project titled Improving Human Security in Southwest Serbia, mostly funded by the Japanese government.

Sandzak’s Facebook ‘Army’ Causes Alarm in Serbia

Branko Stamenkovic, a prosecutor for high technology crime, has ordered Serbian police to gather information about the people behind the Facebook pages called "Army of Sandzak".

There are several pages bearing the name of Sandzak Army, mostly set up in the last couple of weeks. None has more than 120 members.

Minimum EUR 24.6 mln to go to least developed municipalities

NOVI PAZAR - Over the next three and a half years,the European Union and the governments of Serbia and Switzerland will set aside at least EUR 24.6 million in support of the development of 34 local self-government authorities in southeastern and southwestern Serbia through the European Progress Programme,the signatories of a grant agreement said on Wednesday.

Zilkic: Solution to problem in Islamic Community to be found

NOVI PAZAR - Serbian Minister of Justice Nikola Selakovic met with a delegation of the Islamic Community of Serbia and promised support to addressing the difficulties, which are affecting not only the Community but also the entire society, in a non-violent and legal manner, the office of Reis-ul-Ulema Adem Zilkic released in a statement on Thursday.
