Volvo's Self Driving Cars Are Having Unexpected Problem
Volvo recently found that its self-driving cars cannot recognize kangaroos because their manner of movement is different from other large animals. Speaking with ABC Australia, Volvo Australia's technical manager David Pickett said the animal's hopping confuses the car's animal detection system.

A group of students performed the traditional Haka dance in honour of their teacher who retired after 30 years. The Haka is a traditional war dance of the Maori people in New Zealand. The teacher, John Adams must have felt moved watching his students put on a powerful show.
Kangaroo attacks two women in Australia
Two women have been attacked by a kangaroo while cycling in South Australia’s wine country.
Sharon Heinrich, 45, suffered cracked ribs and internal injuries while Helen Salter, 47, was concussed after being attacked along the Riesling Trail in Clare Valley.

Police drop terror charge against Australian teenager
Australian police on Aug. 25 dropped a terrorism related charge against a teenage boy who was accused of planning an Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) inspired attack at a national remembrance day parade.
Australian Federal Police formally withdrew the charge against 18-year-old Harun Causevic of conspiring to commit an act of terror and released him on bail.
