Romania registers economic growth of 2.4pct in Q1 of 2020
The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased in the first quarter of 2020 by 2.4%, as gross series compared to the similar period of last year, and compared to the previous quarter the increase is of 0.3%, according to the flash estimates published by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) on Friday.
The NSI will Conduct a Test Census in the Spring
A population and housing census test will be conducted by the NSI in the spring. This is recorded in the National Statistical Program for 2020, adopted today by the Council of Ministers.
The survey precedes the actual census, which will be conducted across the European Union in 2021.

Former chief statistician awarded for pursuing 'integrity' in Greek data

Greek GDP revision puts 2013 contraction at 3.9 pct
Greeces statistics service (ELSTAT) said on Wednesday that the countrys economy shrank by 3.9 percent last year, correcting a previous revised estimate for 2013 gross domestic product issued in October.
Revised data released by ELSTAT on October 10 had shown a 3.3 percent GDP contraction last year.
