One of the most enduring images of Greece's summer travel brand is the world-famous sunset on Santorini Island, framed by sea-blue church domes on a jagged cliff high above a volcanic caldera.

This scene has inspired millions of fridge magnets, posters, and souvenirs — and now the queue to reach the viewing spot in the clifftop village of Oia can take more than 20 minutes.

A study carried out by the Hellenic Society of Environment and Culture Heritage, in order to show off the Municipality of Thira,  proposes some solutions in order to come up against the miscellaneous problems the Municipality faces

TripAdvisor released their findings on the best destinations on the rise in Europe and Oia in Santorini ranked 7th.

If you are planning to go on holiday in the new year, you may want to consider travelling to these destinations, which have been growing in popularity over the years.

Porto in Portugal is on the top of the list followed by Moscow and Brighton.
