World wine output to fall to lowest in 60 years
World wine production is expected to fall to its lowest level in 60 years in 2023 due to poor harvests in the Southern Hemisphere and in some major European producers, including Greece, the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) has said.

World wine output falls to 60-year low
Global wine output fell to its lowest level in 60 years in 2017 due to poor weather conditions in the European Union that slashed production in the bloc, international wine organization OIV said.

Sofia Hosts World Congress in Viticulture and Winemaking
In the period May 29 - June 2 Sofia hosts a world congress in viticulture and winemaking, reported BNR.
Bulgaria has been selected among 5 other applicants, Spain and Italy among those.
The current 40th edition of the forum is expected to take decisions which will determine essential moves in wine industry globally.
Bulgaria to Host Vine and Wine Congress Next Year
The government of Bulgaria has approved the country's move to host a world congress and assembly of vine growers and wine producers at the and of May and early in June.
The forum will give huge publicity to Bulgarian wine and to Bulgaria itself as a wine-producing country, the cabinet has said in a statement.

Bulgaria to Host 40th World Congress of Vine and Wine
Bulgaria will host in parallel the 40th World Congress of Vine and Wine and the 15th General Assembly of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) next year, the country's Agriculture Ministry has announced.
The decision was taken by a vote of OIV member states at a meeting of the organisation's Executive Committee in Paris on Saturday.
