Avignon masks up for return of feted French theatre festival
One of the world's biggest theatre festivals gets underway on July 5 in the southern French city of Avignon after a year-long hiatus caused by COVID-19, with masks compulsory for audiences but organizers relishing a return to relative normality.

Unconventional French writer, director and actor Olivier Py presents a modern interpretation of Aeschylus' "Prometheus Bound" and "The Suppliants" at the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus as part of the Greek Festival on Friday and Saturday, August 4-5.
