President and sport minister receive Slovenian Olympics team
Brdo pri Kranju – President Borut Pahor and Minister of Sport Simona Kustec received the Slovenian Tokyo Olympics team at Brdo pri Kranju on Tuesday, congratulating and thanking the athletes for their achievements at the latest Summer Games. They also highlighted the role of sports in boosting a sense of community and bringing people together.

Tokyo Olympics Come to End
Although not without its problems, most notably the absence of fans from venues in the Japanese capital, coronavirus has been a merciful sideshow to displays of sporting greatness.
Everyone involved will keep their fingers firmly crossed that the Olympics in three years' time will be able to be held in normal circumstances.

Turkey finishes Tokyo Olympics with best-ever tally of 13 medals
Turkish athletes bagged a total of 13 medals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which ended on Aug. 8, making it the most successful Games ever for their country in terms of total medals won.

Tokyo Olympics 2020: Canoeist Catalin Chirila - Romania's flag bearer at Olympics closing ceremony
Canoe sprinter Catalin Chirila was selected as Romania's flag bearer for the closing ceremony of the Tokyo Olympic Games which will take place on Sunday at 14:00 hrs (Romania time), the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee announced on Facebook. Chirila took the 5th spot in the final of the men's C2 1000m event, together with partner Victor Mihalachi.
