Once Upon a Time in Anatolia

Turkish director and Cannes Palme d'Or winner Nuri Bilge Ceylan on Friday received an outstanding contribution award at the opening of the Sarajevo film festival.

Turkey's Cannes-winning director Nuri Bilge Ceylan will receive the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award at the 24th Sarajevo Film Festival, the organizers of the event have said.

The Michael Cacoyannis Foundation is hosting "Turkish Film Days" from Thursday, October 13, to Saturday, October 15.

To mark the 100th anniversary of Turkish cinema, Turkey's Palme d'Or Award winner filmmaker Nuri Bilge Ceylan attended the screening of his film "K?? Uykusu" (Winter Sleep) at the Los Angeles Museum of Arts (LACMA) Bing Theater on May 6. 

The work of acclaimed Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan will be on display in two American cities this fall, including his critically acclaimed latest film, “Kış Uykusu” (Winter Sleep).

Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s latest film, “Kış Uykusu” (Winter Sleep), which won the coveted Palme d’Or prize at the Cannes Film Festival on May 24, will come to movie theaters on June 13.

Starring Haluk Bilginer, Melisa Sözen and Demet Akbağ, the film will be released in 150 halls in 123 movie theaters in 39 cities.
