President Joe Biden on Saturday lauded American forces who helped Israel down "nearly all" of the drones and missiles fired by Iran and vowed to coordinate a global response to Tehran's unprecedented attack. And the Pentagon said its forces intercepted "dozens of missiles" and drones launched from Iran, Iraq, Syria and Yemen that were headed toward Israel.

In the latest escalation of tensions, the United States conducted another series of strikes against targets associated with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in eastern Syria. According to U.S. Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin, these strikes, authorized by President Joe Biden, targeted a training facility and a safe house near the cities of Abu Kamal and Mayadin.
