U.S. authorities are investigating Meta over its role in the illicit sale of medications, The Wall Street Journal reported on March 16.

A supervised drug consumption site where people will be able to use narcotics with sterile injection equipment under the supervision of trained staff is to start operating in central Athens in the coming days. 

A new report points to an increase in the use of cannabis in Greece along with a significant decrease in that of heroin and other opioids.

The largest quantity of opioid drug tablets ever seized in Greece was destroyed by fire on Wednesday in the furnaces of a factory in the regional unit of Viotia, police said.

US police have issued an urgent public alert after a spate of deaths from a drug so potent it can kill anyone who touches it.

Some 8,000 people with HIV in war-torn eastern Ukraine face a critical shortage of medicine and their supply will run out in mid-August unless a blockade is lifted, a U.N. AIDS envoy has warned.

Speaking to AFP ahead of the International AIDS Society (IAS) conference, which opened Sunday, Michel Kazatchkine called on key nations to intervene as soon as possible.
