Serbian, Republika Srpska officials lay wreaths at Karadjordje's sarcophagus
OPLENAC - Serbian Deputy PM and Defence Minister Milos Vucevic, Republika Srpska PM Radovan Viskovic and Serbian Minister of Labour, Employment and Veteran and Social Affairs Nikola Selakovic laid wreaths at Karadjordje's sarcophagus in the Church of St George at Oplenac, central Serbia, on Thursday on occasion of Serbia's Statehood Day.

Descendants of the former Yugoslav royals want to be given back castles and a house in Montenegro, but also property in Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Macedonia, according to a document that BIRN has obtained from the Karadjordjevic family's office.

Gojkovic: Election date depends on potential parliamentary polls
OPLENAC - The date of the upcoming presidential elections will be announced after a decision has been made on whether there will also be early parliamentary polls, Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic said Wednesday.
Serbia Prepares for First Royal Wedding in Decades
Prince Mihailo Karadjordjevic, a grandson of King Alexander I, is preparing a Serbian church wedding after he and his wife married in a civil ceremony in London.
The wedding will take place on Sunday, October 23, at St George's Church in Oplenac, near Topola in central Serbia, where members of the Karadjordjevic dynasty are buried, and which is also the royal family's home region.

Serbian Statehood Day celebration
BELGRADE – Sretenje, Serbia’ s Statehood Day and national holiday celebrated in memory of the First Serbian Uprising and enactment of the first Serbian constitution, will be marked by a series of manifestations in Belgrade and at Oplenac Hill in Topola this year.
