Sofia Airport Restores Normal Operation After False Bomb Threat
The airport in the Bulgarian capital has restored its normal operation shortly after midnight on Thursday after a false bomb threat led to extra security measures being enforced on Wednesday evening.
As of Thursday, the airport is open and flights are running according to schedule, daily Dnevnik informs.
Security alert at Cologne’s airport
Cologne airport is shut down and evacuated since a woman managed to pass through security without being checked, according to preliminary information.
A number of flights have been cancelled and both terminals have been shut down causing panic to passengers.

Evacuated Passengers Return to Varna Airport, No Bomb Found
The flight schedule at Bulgaria's Varna Airport hasn't been disrupted despite a security alert that triggered the evacuation of passengers from one of the airport's terminals, BGNES reported on Friday.
A suspicious piece of luggage found during routine inspection forced authorities to close the terminal at about 2 p.m. (1100 GMT) on Friday to comply with airport safety procedures.

AirTransat recently announced that it will be launching regular flights between Budapest and Toronto. Not wishing to be outdone, Greek carrier SkyGreece has stated that it is establishing a direct air link between the two cities, which will be taking place twice a week.
