The Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) has removed another member from its parliamentary group amid ongoing internal divisions centered around the "Peevski-Dogan" axis.

GERB and DPS are seven votes short of forming a regular government. Tomorrow, the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) will decide whether to support the first mandate at a party executive bureau meeting, OFFNews reported.

In a statement made at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov emphasized that the current Bulgarian Cabinet must resign by March 6 at the latest. The move is a crucial step to facilitate the government rotation, with Deputy Prime Minister Mariya Gabriel set to assume office promptly.

Delyan Peevski, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) parliamentary group chairman, has officially filed a report with the Bulgarian Interior Ministry and the State Agency for National Security (SANS). His request seeks an investigation into how a Russia 1 TV team was permitted entry into Bulgaria, despite the network being on the EU's list of banned media outlets.

Uncertainty is the only certainty in Bulgarian politics these days.

Since an inconclusive election on April 4, both the winner - long-time ruling party GERB - and the second-placed upstarts 'There's Such a Nation' have failed to cobble together a majority in parliament, meaning the baton will pass to the opposition Bulgarian Socialist Party, BSP.

The vote of no confidence for the Borisov Cabinet over a failure in the security sector did not succeed to overthrow the government.

The Speaker of the National Assembly Dimitar Glavchev resigned, according to Nova TV. 

"I have just put my resignation in the registry office of the National Assembly," said Glavchev from the Parliamentary Tribune.

This decision came after a half-hour meeting of Prime Minister Boyko Borisov in Glavchev's Cabinet together with the leadership of the GERB parliamentary group.

The European Commission is revising its forecast for the Bulgarian economy in a sharp upward direction. According to Brussels, this year our economic growth will be 3.9%, after the European Commission projected 2.9% in the spring. The reason - according to the EC, it is domestic consumption.

Today, one hundred days have passed since the beginning of  ''Borisov 3'' Cabinet, and ministers' oath in the Parliament on May 4th.

The main criticism of the government is coming from the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP).

The estimated value of the renovation of the Winter Palace of Sport in the capital is BGN 4 million excluding VAT (4.8 million with VAT). The state company Akademika 2011 EAD, which manages the facility, is expected to announce a public deal for the selection of a contractor. Reports SEGA.
