EOF bans distribution of spirulina dietary supplement
The National Organization for Medicines (EOF) has banned the distribution and sale of an imported dietary supplement containing spirulina, citing excessive levels of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) exceeding legal limits.
The decision affects the product "VITAMIR SPIROULINA 500mg" imported from German company OLYMP HANDELS GmbH.
Newly discovered chemical reactions could explain the origin of life
The first lifeforms are thought to have arisen on Earth billions of years ago, from a nutrient-rich mixture often called the primordial soup
Study finds our Galaxy may be full of dead Alien Civilizations
The study looked at various factors that could presumably lead to a habitable environment

NASA Spacecraft Approaches Asteroid, Snaps First Pic
Two years after launching from Florida, a NASA spacecraft is closing in on an ancient asteroid, Bennu, for a sample of space dust that could reveal clues to the start of life in the solar system.
The spacecraft, OSIRIS-REx, has even snapped its first, blurry pic of the cosmic body, which is about the size of a small mountain, about 500 yards (meters) in diameter.
New Study Supports Darwin's Theory of the Origin of Life
Research supports the theory that fallen meteorites in warm water on the Earth's surface have given the essential elements necessary for the birth of life. This theory rests on "comprehensive research and calculations in the field of astrophysics, geology, chemistry, biology," says a publication in Canadian University McMaster in PNAS.
"Direct evidence" that life existed on Earth 4 billion years ago
Ancient fossils discovered in Canada are "direct evidence" that life existed on Earth 4 billion years ago, scientists wrote in a newly-released study, believing the emergence of life could be simple enough to begin on other planets.
