Atatürk’s room in Dolmabahçe Palace under renovation
Renovation works have started in Room 71 of Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul, where Turkish Republic founder Mustafa Kemal Atatürk died, to open it to visitors on Nov. 10, his death anniversary.
The National Palaces Presidency photographed the ceiling skirts and wall surfaces of the room and compared them with the previous photos from the digital archive to determine the damage.
Central Athens street purged of graffiti after 20-day cleanup campaign
Municipal crews have removed graffiti and paint from Athens' Stadiou Street as part of a 20-day campaign to clean up the city center.
Work focused on removing slogans, tags and smudges that covered an area of about 3,300 square meters along the popular shopping street that branches out of Syntagma Square.

Animal Cruelty in Bulgaria, Stray Dog Painted Red
The hair of a stray dog was painted with red paint in a Tutrakan village. The photo disturbed and angered thousands of people online.
Reddy is already housed in a veterinary center in Sofia, NOVA reports. The animal is in good health, but immediately after the paint was put on him, the risk of an allergic reaction was high.
