Palestinian stone-throwing

Palestinians converged on the Gaza border with Israel for a fifth round of weekly protests on April 27, some throwing stones and burning tires, as a top U.N. official urged Israel to refrain from using excessive force against them.

Israel's security cabinet on Sept.24 broadened the rules under which stone-throwers can be targeted by live fire, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said.
