FM to discuss release of Himare mayor with Albanian counterpart
Foreign Minister Vassilis Kaskarelis is on Wednesday expected to meet Albanian counterpart Olta Xhacka, on the sidelines of the informal meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers in Oslo to discuss the release of a jailed ethnic Greek official.
‘Orthodox’ and ‘heretical’ entrepreneurship
In a commentary published in Kathimerini on January 5, my good colleague Pantelis Boukalas expressed surprise at the term "orthodox entrepreneurship," which was used by now-resigned New Democracy lawmaker Themis Cheimaras to justify his company's business dealings with the state (a practice forbidden by the Constitution for active MPs).

Car in tragic motorway crash had reached 200 km/per hour, expert says
Around 1,800 people have died over the past year, between the death of popular singer Pantelis Pantelidis in February 2016 and Sunday's tragic accident in which four people were killed on the Athens-Lamia national highway, road safety expert Tassos Markouizos told Skai on Tuesday.
Euro suitors for EBZ's Serb sugar plants
European companies have expressed an interest in participating in the international tender that Hellenic Sugar Industry (EBZ) will call for the sale of the factories of its two subsidiaries in Serbia, EBZ president Christos Rossios stated.
