At the İzmir Wildlife Park, the warm relationship between caretakers and the wild animals have surprised visitors. The natural park, which was established by the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality in Sasalı Region on an area of 4,125 square meters, is home to about 3,000 animals of 134 species.

Online campaign to save malnourished lions at Sudan park
Online calls grew on Jan. 19 to help save five "malnourished and sick" African lions held at a park in Sudan's capital, with some demanding the creatures be shifted to a better habitat.
The five lions are held in cages at Khartoum's Al-Qureshi Park in an upscale district of the capital, but for weeks now they have been suffering from shortages of food and medicine.

Turkish Airlines returns 4 former circus lions to nature
"Turkish Cargo has brought three young lionesses Luca, Charlie, Kai and young lion Nathan to South Africa, their natural habitat, from Kiev via a connecting flight from Istanbul," the airline said in a statement marking March 3, World Wildlife Day
Lions Terez and Masoud Are Feeling Good
The lions from the Razgrad Zoo Terez and Masoud have grown up and they are feeling good. This was announced by the FELIDA Big Cat Centre, quoted by bTV.
It will soon be decided whether Terez and Masoud can be transferred to the Lionrock Reserve in South Africa where they grow and hunt in their natural habitat.

Tiger Escapes Circus During Show (Video)
Tiger escaped from his cage during a circus performance in the Chinese province of Shanxi, China Daily writes.
The escape of the tiger shook the audience, but luckily in the incident only two people were slightly injured, the huge cat scratched them with its nails. According to some Chinese media, the injured are two children, but others report one child and one adult.
