Greek athletes shine in Glasgow
Greece collected four medals at last weekend's European Indoor Track and Field Championships in Glasgow, including a gold medal by long jumper Miltos Tentoglou (top left). His 8.38-meter jump in the final was the best in the world this year.

Papachristou takes gold in Berlin
Bagging Greece's fourth medal at the European Championships in Berlin, Voula Papachristou took gold for her 14.60 m triple jump on Thursday.
Papachristou dedicated her winning leap to the victims of last month's deadly fires in Attica by pointing to a black ribbon that she wore.
Her medal was the third gold for the Greece at the event.

Greek athlete Paraskevi Papachristou strives for glory in London
Greek athlete Paraskevi Papachristou makes an attempt in the women's triple-jump qualification during the World Athletics Championships in London on Saturday. Papachristou, a European bronze medalist, was not in the best of form on the day and failed to make the triple-jump final, managing only 13.40 meters and 13.75 meters - way below the 14.20-meter threshold needed.

TRACK & FIELD: Teenager Miltos Tentoglou produced a new national Under-20 record in the men's long jump and the fourth best jump in the world this year measuring 8.29 meters at the National Championship that took place over the weekend in Patra.

Tsipras hails Greek medalists, says athletes need support
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is seen at Maximos Mansion in Athens Tuesday with athletes who represented Greece at the 34th European Athletics Indoor Championships in Belgrade, including pole vaulters Katerina Stefanidi and Constantinos Filippidis and triple-jumper Voula Papachristou.

Olympic champion Katerina Stefanidi won gold at the European Indoor Championship in Belgrade at the women's pole-vault final on Saturday, while triple-jump champion Voula Papachristou landed bronze. They have taken Greece's medal tally to three, one day before the completion of the event.
