Greek gov’t to confiscate Goethe Institute
A direct “Warning shot” has been fired against Germany by the government, while speaking in Parliament on the matter of compensations for WWII Nazi brutality on Greece and the Greeks between 1941 and 1944.
Justice Minister Nikos Paraskevopoulos stated he is willing to sign the Supreme Court’s decision to confiscate German state real estate in Greece.

Justice Minister: Golden Dawn trial may be delayed due to Justice Staff shortage
In an interview with private radio Vima FM, Justice Minister Nikos Paraskevopoulos said on Wednesday that, due to understaffing problems, the trial of far right Golden Dawn deputies might be delayed.
"This delay may result in the release of the deputies, when the maximum period for holding someone without trial expires," Paraskevopoulos added.
Germany brushes off WWII reparation claims
Germany?s Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel on Monday brushed off calls by Greece?s newly elected government for Berlin to pay reparations for damage inflicted during the country?s Nazi occupation, claiming that the matter was settled following German reunification in 1990.

Greek Justice Minister met with French officials to discuss justice in the EU
Justice Minister Nikos Paraskevopoulos met on Friday with Jean-Louis Debre, the president of France's Constitutional Council, and Jean Loup Kuhn-Delforge, France's ambassador to Greece. They discussed the operation of Justice across Europe. Amongst matters discussed, were the overcrowding of Greek prisons and the slow administration of justice.
