JusMin Toader about pardon and reprieve: Gov't can adopt OUG, with Parliament in session
Justice Minister Tudorel Toader announced on Wednesday evening, at private TV broadcaster Antena 3, in reference to pardon and reprieve, that the Gov't can adopt an emergency ordinance but Parliament must be in session.
The minister was asked under what circumstances the Gov't can adopt and emergency ordinance (OUG) for pardon and reprieve.
Extradition request for FYROM agents rejected
Greece's Supreme Court has rejected a request by the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) for the extradition of two of its intelligence agents for their role in an eavesdropping scandal that broke in 2015 during former prime minister Nikola Gruevksi's time in office.

Macedonia Eases Pressure on Jails
The law, which passed in parliament late Monday, pardons all convicts serving jail sentences of less than six months, about 670 of them.
The law also cuts the jail terms of some 3,100 prisoners serving for less than five years by 30 per cent.

Romania's Senate Rejects Toned-Down Pardon Bill
Romania's Senate on Monday refused to pass a controversial pardoning bill which no longer contains the most contentious amendments - on pardoning corruption-related offences.
Senators voted to send the bill back to the legal commission to re-discuss it within the next week.
