Police on trail of traffickers linked to sunken vessel
Authorities are reportedly on the trail of the leaders of a people trafficking gang linked to the vessel that sank last Saturday off the island of Paxos, south of Corfu in the Ionian Sea, which led to the death of at least 12 migrants with at least 17 still missing.

Dutch tourist falls off cliff at Parga castle
A Dutch tourist died on Thursday when she fell off a cliff during a tour inside the Venetian castle of Parga, western Greece.
An ambulance was called in to transfer the 33-year-old woman to a hospital in the city of Preveza where doctors confirmed her death.
Police is examining the circumstances surrounding her fall.

Greek restaurant owner arrested over antique decorations
A man in northwestern Greece has been arrested after artefacts going back hundreds and even thousands of years were found adorning his restaurant.
Police say they confiscated about 90 mostly fragmentary pots and jars that archaeologists identified as ancient Greek and late mediaeval.
Mild tremor strikes Arta and Preveza
A mild earthquake struck the towns of Arta, in western Greece, and Preveza, slightly further north, on Tuesday morning, without any damage reported.
The tremor occured at 11.10 a.m. and was measured at 3.9 degrees on the Richter scale. It was also felt in the seaside town of Parga, on the Ionian sea, according to reports.

Three killed in torrential rains in Greece (photos+videos)
Three people lost their lives in heavy rainfall, Tuesday. A 63-year-old woman, near the city of Kalamata in the Peloponnese, who was confined to a wheel-chair, was trapped in her basement level apartment when waters flooded her house before help could arrive. An 80-year-old man in Thourio and an unidentified man also lost their lives in the weather storm.
