Police officer receives bravery medal for saving child from fire
The Greek Police's top brass on Thursday praised emergency dispatch officer Vassilis Terzakis for brave conduct, bestowing him with a police medal for his role in rescuing a child.
Terzakis pulled a young boy out of a burning building in the Athens district of Patissia on February 19, 2015, saving his life after the boy fainted in the blaze due to smoke inhalation.
Assailants open fire at Patissia cafe-bar
Unknown assailants opened fire at a cafe-bar on Ionias Avenue in the Patissia district of Athens early Thursday, smashing the main window and damaging two parked cars.
According to reports, the culprits fired shots at the bar from inside a car before speeding off. No one was injured.

Athens offices of nationalist group firebombed
Arsonists attacked the offices of the nationalist political grouping Convention of Greeks in the Patissia district of Athens early Monday morning. The unknown assailants threw stones, smashing office windows, before lobbing firebombs into the premises.

Capital's closed stores started to show signs of revival

Pregnant woman injured in Patissia mugging on Christmas Day
A pregnant woman suffered stomach injuries after being attacked by a robber wielding a knife in the central Athens neighborhood of Patissia on Christmas Day, police said.
The woman, whose identity was not made public, was taken to Alexandra Hospital, where she was treated and later discharged.
Elderly woman dies after falling on ISAP tracks
An elderly woman died Tuesday after falling on the tracks at the Ano Patissia station of the Piraeus-Kifissia electric railway (ISAP).
The woman fell onto the tracks as a Piraeus-bound train was approaching at about 4.30 p.m., according to the police and fire service.
