Documents show that BAT, one of the world leaders in cigarette production, was involved in negotiations to pay between USD 300.000 and USD 500.000 to Mugabe's party Zanu-PF (the Zimbabwe African National Union - Patriotic Front) in 2013.
Another ex-MP Leaving Bulgaria's Patriotic Front
Former lawmaker Valentin Nikolov has quit the Patriotic Front coalition, rejecting its move to run together with far-right Ataka party in the upcoming early election.
Nikolov has followed the example of Dimitar Bayraktarov, calling the coalition "unprincipled" in an interview with private broadcaster NOVA TV.

'No Division' among Bulgarian Nationalists, Leader Says
Patriotic Front (PF) co-leader Krasimir Karakachanov has downplayed any division existing between the two main parties within the nationalist alliance or among other of its parties.
In an interview with public broadcaster BNT, Karakachanov has blamed "hybrid warfare" for the reports he is increasingly at odds with Valeri Simeonov, the chairman of NFSB party and also PF co-leader.
Bulgaria's Patriotic Front Ready To Form Cabinet, Govern Till End of Mandate
"We are ready to take over the government of the country. If there is agreement and readiness for an expert cabinet, the Patriotic Front is prepared to accept the mandate," stated the chairman of VMRO Krasimir Karakachanov after coming out of the Presidency.

Pazardzhik became the first Bulgarian city to ban the wearing of veils covering the face in public places, BNR public radio broadcaster reported on Wednesday.
The city parliament approved the ban in a 39-2 vote with no abstentions, according to BNR.

With an astounding 83.7%, Dimitar Nikolov has been reelected for a third term in the Black Sea port city of Burgas as Bulgaria is holding local elections on Sunday, an Alpha Research poll suggests.
A survey by rival Gallup agency puts support for Nikolov at 83.5%.
Nikolov, as in the previous (2011) vote, was backed by the main ruling GERB party of PM Boyko Borisov.
