Bosphorus Bridge lit in colors of Slovenian flag after Eurobasket win
The Bosphorus Bridge, now known as the July 15 Martyrs Bridge, was illuminated in the colors of the Slovenian flag after the country won its first European basketball title late on Sept. 17 with a 93-85 victory against Serbia.
The FIBA EuroBasket 2017 Final match was held in the Sinan Erdem Dome in Istanbul.
Turkey knocked out of EuroBasket after defeat by Spain
Turkey has been knocked out of EuroBasket 2017 after being defeated by tournament favorite Spain 73-56 on Sept. 10 evening.
The Round 16 match in Istanbul's Sinan Erdem Dome saw a resilient Turkish squad, as they managed to handle Spain for three quarters of the clash.

Spain is the European basketball champions for 2015 after convincingly beating (80-63) the surprise package of the tournament Lithuania in the final played at the Lille Pierre Mauroy stadium in France, Sunday. It is the 3rd trophy for the European giants, with NBA superstar and European legend Pau Gasol finishing the match with double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds.

Jimmy Butler scored a playoff career high of 31 points as the Chicago Bulls took a 2-0 first round playoff series lead with a 91-82 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on April 20.

Turkey beats Dominican Republic, set to face Australia in last 16
Turkey took second in Group C at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup after a 77-64 win over third placed Dominican Republic with OÄuz SavaÅ leading the way with 15 points.
The Turkish national team will face Australia in the last 16, who were beaten by Angola 91-83 but gave a rest to two of their top players, Joe Ingles and Aron Baynes.
Turkey spills sweat and blood to defeat New Zealand in FIBA Basketball World Cup
Turkish national basketball team started the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in fussy style after beating New Zealand 76-73 in Group C game in the Spanish city of Bilbao on Aug. 30.
The âTall Blacksâ were the dominating side in the first half of the game, which saw the Oceanian side grasping a double-digit lead at the end of the second quarter: 38-28.
