Police in Pikermi, east Attica, were investigating a break-in at the home of Independent Greeks deputy Pavlos Haikalis in the early hours of Saturday.
According to initial reports, unknown assailants broke into the MPs residence from a balcony before removing jewelry and a service handgun registered to his wife, a police officer.
