Rough Accident on Trakia Highway, Movement is Difficult
A serious crash happened early this morning on the Trakia highway, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Pazardzhik said. The incident took place around 7 am in the 77 km-km area in the direction of Sofia.

Pazardzhik became the first Bulgarian city to ban the wearing of veils covering the face in public places, BNR public radio broadcaster reported on Wednesday.
The city parliament approved the ban in a 39-2 vote with no abstentions, according to BNR.

Three people have been arrested in Pazardzhik, Southern Bulgaria, on suspicion of people smuggling and offering bribes, police say.
Authorities report in a statement they stopped on Saturday a minivan en route to Sofia with a Bulgarian driver where ten people with no identity documents, who claimed to be from Afghanistan, were traveling.

Plovdiv Court to Sit on Strelcha Mayor Case after 15 Judges Withdraw
The district court in Bulgaria's second-biggest city Plovdiv is to launch the case against Ivan Evstatiev, the mayor of the town of Strelcha who is facing rape charges.
The case was assigned to Plovdiv by Bulgaria's last-instance judicial institution, the Supreme Court of Cassation (VKS), after 15 judges in a row withdrew from the Pazardzhik District Court.
Seven Arrested in Bulgaria's Pazardzhik, Plovdiv for Preaching Radical Islam on Facebook
Seven people were arrested early on Tuesday in the Roma neighborhoods of Plovdiv and Pazardzhik for preaching radical Islam on Facebook.
The arrests were made in the Roma districts of Plovdiv, Asenovgrad, and Pazardzhik under the supervision of the prosecuting authority, according to reports of the Focus news agency.
Director of Pazardzhik Mayor's Office Shot Dead
Tatyana Stoyanova, head of the Pazardzhik Mayor's Office, was shot dead Monday evening in front of her home.
Stoyanova had just parked her car outside her home in Dimitar Grekov Street in Pazardzhik and had headed for the entrance of the block of flats when she was shot in the head, according to reports of Nova TV.
The murderer managed to escape.
