Located in the Pella region, approximately 103 kilometers northwest of Thessaloniki, Pozar Baths sits amidst a wealth of natural and historical wonders. A 15-year-old boy from the town of Pella in northern Greece was arrested for putting out a lit cigarette on the cheek of a fellow classmate, state-run wire service AMNA reported on Wednesday.

The incident happened two weeks ago at a bus station in the municipality of Skydra. The victim, aged 14-year-old boy, informed the police and was treated for a light burn at the local hospital.

Residents in Thessaloniki in northern Greece have received a warning message from the 112 emergency line regarding the Ilina storm. 

Specifically, just after 11.00 a.m. on Monday, a message was sent to Pella, Imathia, Pieria, and Thessaloniki warning of the possibility of dangerous weather phenomena from midday onwards. 

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who is visiting Pella and Edessa on Tuesday, was given a tour of the Pella Museum and its archaeological site by Culture Minister Lina Mendoni and the head of the local antiquities office, Elizabeth Tsigarida.

Experts and the government are concerned about the course of the pandemic in Northern Greece. It is characteristic that epidemiologist Gikas Maiorkinis in yesterday's official information about the coronavirus, spoke of a "worrying exception" of the areas in the north of the country.
