ISIL sought second attack after wedding bombing in southeast Turkey: Governor

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) sought to commit another attack after a suicide bombing a street wedding in the southeastern province of Gaziantep, the local governor's office has said, adding that the bomber was a 22- or 23-year-old Turkish-speaking male.

At least 59 killed in attack on Pakistan police academy

At least 59 people were killed and more than 100 wounded when gunmen wearing suicide vests stormed a Pakistani police training academy in the southwestern city of Quetta and took hostages on Oct. 24.
Militant group the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed the attack on Oct. 25 and said its fighters attacked a police training college in Quetta.

Attack in Iraq's Kirkuk over, 74 ISIL jihadists dead, says governor

Iraqi security forces on Oct. 24 ended an attack by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in Kirkuk city, killing at least 74 jihadists in three days of clashes, the provincial governor said, while Iraqi forces advancing on Mosul faced stiff resistance from the jihadist group.

Kirkuk under threat of ISIL sharpshooters

Sharpshooters from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) jihadist group have become a threat in the Kurdish-controlled city of Kirkuk in Iraq on the third day of clashes, with security forces still tracking down the militants.

Locals and journalists working in the field have been trapped in the streets due to concealed ISIL sharpshooters in the city. 

Iraqi official says no agreement reached yet between Iraq and Turkey

Iraq forces in fierce Kirkuk clashes with ISIL

Security forces battled for a second day on Oct. 22 with Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) gunmen who infiltrated Kirkuk in a brazen raid that rattled Iraq as it ramped up an offensive to retake Mosul.

 A day after the shock attack on the Kurdish-controlled city, extremist snipers and suspected suicide bombers were still at large, prompting Baghdad to send reinforcements.
